Dr. Dwight Smith is Vice President of Academic Affairs at the County College of Morris. Dr. Smith’s doctorate is in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University and during his doctoral studies he served as Associate Dean of Students at Rutgers College. Dr. Smith represents CCM at the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) and has chaired the NJCCC General Education Committee and Academic Affairs Affinity Group. He is co-author of a chapter in the Association of American Colleges and Universities’ publication, General Education and Liberal Learning: Principles of Effective Practice. He also provides service to the Middle States Commission on Higher Learning and Higher Learning Commission regional accreditation agencies. Previously, Dr. Smith served in academic leadership roles at Miami Dade College, St. Louis Community College, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
