Campus Connect Talks Fulbright During Remote Interviews

CCM President Discusses Russian Program with Fellow Participant and Director - Posted 6/11/13
Dr. Edward J. Yaw, president of County College of Morris (CCM) and host of the TV program Campus Connect, recently discussed his participation in the Fulbright Community College Administrator's Seminar in Russia with two individuals he met during his visit. The conversations were able to take place with a little help from technology.

Yaw remotely interviewed both Dr. Joel Ericson, the director of the Fulbright Program in Russia, and J. David Armstrong, president of Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on the latest broadcast. Armstrong was one of four community college leaders who joined Yaw during the seminar. The group spent two weeks meeting with higher education and other officials in Kazan and Moscow, sharing ideas and insights about professional education, workforce development and the performing arts.

This year also happened to be the 40th anniversary of Fulbright in Russia, making the trip extra special. The anniversary was something Yaw discussed with Ericson during the program.

Yaw’s interviews with Ericson and Armstrong can be found at http://tinyurl.com/pqm7sso. Campus Connect, produced by the Media Center at CCM, currently airs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4, 6 and 9 p.m. on Cablevision Channel 77 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40 throughout Morris County. It also can be viewed on CCM’s YouTube channel at http://tinyurl.com/d5cg5xu.

Yaw, a long-time supporter of international educational exchanges, shared his Fulbright experience in real-time on a blog that can be found at http://ccmfulbright.wordpress.com/.
