Respiratory Therapy Program Open Houses at CCM
Monday, March 18, and Thursday, March 28 - Posted 3/6/2013
The Respiratory Therapist program at County College of Morris (CCM) has scheduled two open houses for those interested in learning more about this healthcare profession and related employment opportunities.
The open houses take place Monday, March 18, from 3 - 4:30 p.m., in Sheffield Hall, Room 200 and Thursday, March 28, from 5 - 6:30 p.m., in Cohen Hall, Room 256, on CCM’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road. Interested individuals need to attend only one of the open houses.
The Respiratory Therapist program provides students with the knowledge, skills and professional attitudes and behaviors needed to attain state licensing and national credentialing for a career in respiratory therapy. Graduates of the CCM program have obtained positions in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, pulmonary rehabilitation centers and physician offices.
The program has two components: a pre-professional phase that includes all the general education and science prerequisites and a professional phase that includes respiratory therapy specific course work and clinical education. Courses in the pre-professional phase of the program may be taken on a full-time or part-time basis during day or evening hours. Full-time day attendance is preferred for the professional phase of the program. Part-time attendance must be approved by the program coordinator.
