WQXR, New York City’s classical radio station, has designated November Ludwig van Beethoven Awareness Month. Area residents can pay tribute and enjoy the music of the renowned composer at the performance of 33 Variations by the County College of Morris (CCM) Shakespeare and Company November 17 – 19 at 7:30 p.m. on the college’s Randolph campus.
The riveting production tells the story of a Beethoven scholar who is driven to solve the composer’s greatest mystery while her own life crumbles around her. In a journey that spans 200 years, 33 Variations moves between the past and present, fact and speculation, and mother and daughter.
Performances take place in the Dragonetti auditorium in the Student Community Center. General admission is $15 and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the Campus Life office in the Student Community Center or at the box office the evening of the performance.
