The County College of Morris (CCM) Peace Prize is awarded every year in remembrance September 11, 2001. The prize includes an award of $1,000 provided by the CCM Foundation and engraved plaque.
The Peace Price, established in 2001, is intended to inspire students to use their creativity and vision to design a media piece commemorating September 11 and promoting a statement in support of world peace.
Submissions may be presented in a number of forms including but not limited to creative or expository writing, video composition, musical composition or other visual or performing art.
Students who wish to participate must file an application by March 23 with Professor Peter Maguire. All projects must be submitted to him by April 19 for referral to a panel of judges. The recipient will be announced in May. Presentation of the award will take place during Commencement.
In addition, the recipient will have his or her name inscribed on the permanent Peace Prize plaque in the Student Community Center.
Questions may be directed to, and applications obtained from, Professor Peter Maguire at firstname.lastname@example.org
