County College of Morris (CCM) senior radiography students made quite an impression at the recent New Jersey Society of Radiologic Technologists (NJSRT) annual meeting in Atlantic City. During student competition, a technical exhibit created by CCM students placed third, four students made the X-Ray Bowl semifinals, and one student made the final round.
Of the 140 students who competed in the X-Ray Bowl, CCM student Dan Lasky of Butler placed fourth after making it to the finals. Lasky was joined in the semifinals by three other CCM students: Eric Salameh of Newton, Barbara Spina of Flanders and Darius Bakstad of Lake Hiawatha.
Salameh, Spina and Bakstad, as well as Brian Polkowski of Montville, worked together in the technical exhibit competition and won third place for their creation.
“I was very proud of all the CCM students who competed at the NJSRT annual meeting,” says Denise Vill’Neuve, chair of the Allied Health Department at CCM and coordinator of the radiography program. “Their accomplishments are a credit to their dedication, and speak well to the quality of the radiography program at CCM.”
