During the program Dr. Yaw and Adubato talk about the economic and other advantages of starting a higher education at a community college. Also during the program, Dr. Yaw outlines some of many noteworthy programs offered at CCM, including its strong Performing Arts, Theater and Dance programs
Since becoming president, Dr. Yaw has guided CCM’s development as one of the state’s leading community colleges. As a result of his vision and commitment, CCM has one of the highest graduation and transfer rates among community colleges in New Jersey, and its students and faculty are regularly presented with awards and honors.
Through his work on professional and educational councils, Dr. Yaw also has played an instrumental role in shaping higher education in New Jersey. As part of that service, he led the effort to gain enactment of a state-wide transfer agreement to ease the process for students seeking to pursue their education beyond an associate’s degree. An active community leader, he has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and the Urban League of Morris County.
