Five faculty members from County College of Morris (CCM) recently were presented with Excellence Awards from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) in recognition of the strength of their teaching and leadership skills.
Presented with awards were: Nancy Binowski of Bridgewater, assistant professor, Information Technology; Rick Edinger of New York City, adjunct professor, Music, Dance and Performing Arts; Brian Oleksak of Newton, chair, Landscape and Horticultural Technology; M. Celeste Wayne of Morris Plains, assistant professor, Nursing; and Dr. James Henderson of Sparta, recently retired professor, English and Philosophy.
Wayne also recently was named Nurse Educator of the Year by the Philippine Nurse Association of New Jersey.
NISOD is a professional association dedicated to the professional development of faculty, administrators and staff and to the continued improvement of teaching and learning. More than 700 community colleges around the world are NISOD members. NISOD award recipients are selected based upon criteria established by each submitting college.
“We nominated these faculty members to recognize the quality education they provide to CCM students,” said Dr. Dwight Smith, vice president of Academic Affairs. “Each of these recipients has contributed significantly to the success of our students, the strength of our academic programs and the life of the college.”
