Monica Maraska of Randolph, professor and chair of the County College of Morris (CCM) Department of Nursing, will be appearing on One-on-One with Steve Adubato later this month. During the segment, Maraska talks about the state of nursing in New Jersey and growing opportunities in the healthcare field.

Maraska has been a member of the Nursing faculty at CCM since 1996. In addition, she works as a per-diem nurse at Morristown Medical Center. She has a wide and varied background in nursing. As a geriatric clinical nurse specialist at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, she served as a hospital-wide resource person to facilitate the provision of quality nursing care to a growing geriatric population. Her passion for caring for the elderly continued as she worked in home health care. As vice president of Professional Services for Home Health Corporation of America, located in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was responsible for the start-up, certification and administration of Medicare-certified home health agencies.
She is the recipient of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development award for teaching excellence and a member of the American Nurses’ Association and the National League of Nursing.
Maraska earned her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and BSN from Thomas Jefferson University.
