Dr. Edward J. Yaw, CCM President, to be Interviewed on John Gambling Show
Speaking on the Special Mission of Community Colleges
Dr. Edward J. Yaw, president of County College of Morris (CCM), will be interviewed live on the John Gambling Show, WOR News Radio AM 710, Wednesday, January 11, at 8:40 a.m. on higher education and the special role of community colleges.
The show Wednesday morning is being hosted by Steve Adubato, broadcaster, author and motivational speaker.
Dr. Yaw recently was recognized by New Jersey’s higher education community for his 25-years of service as CCM president, making him one of the longest serving college presidents in the state.
Since becoming president, Dr. Yaw has guided CCM’s development as one of the state’s leading community colleges. As a result of his vision and commitment, CCM has the highest transfer rate of any community college in New Jersey, one of the highest graduation rates in the state, and its students and faculty are regularly presented with awards and honors.
Through his work on professional and educational councils, Dr. Yaw also has played an instrumental role in shaping higher education in New Jersey. As part of that service, he led the effort to gain enactment of a state-wide transfer agreement to ease the process for students seeking to pursue their education beyond an associate’s degree. An active community leader, he has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and the Urban League of Morris County.
